ReCarbn's Direct Air Capture Technology

DAC technology uses chemical sorbents to capture CO₂ from the atmosphere. ReCarbn’s unique innovation circulates this sorbent between reactors to reduce energy consumption and cycle time compared to conventional fixed bed process technologies. These unique features of ReCarbn’s direct air capture technology set it apart from others in the market.

GENERATION 01

The pilot plant, Generation 1, has been operational since September 2022. As part of EU Horizon 2020, it was delivering CO₂ feedstock to an algae reactor with a capacity of 3.5 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year. The pilot plant is now back in Enschede, the Netherlands. Upcoming Direct Air Capture Generations

We are constantly developing and upgrading our technology for the upcoming years. In 2028, we will start the construction of a 50k-ton factory. This scale and continuous technology development will allow us to reach competitive capture costs and low energy consumption to capture CO₂ from the atmosphere.
